Artisan Cape Dutch - Scouting Photos
This is an update to the post we made yesterday regarding our "Cape Dutch" style home which will be on display during the Builders Association of the Twin Cities, Artisan Home Tour in June.
We went out to the house yesterday afternoon to get some scouting photos. The home is nearing completion and things are shaping up quite nicely. Take a look at our earlier concept image and progress photos below.
Exterior Entry Concept Image
Exterior Entry - A few details on the house remain along with extensive landscape work.
Living Room - This furniture is temporary to allow for a photo shoot by the Minneapolis Star Tribune
Living Room - windows wrap the corner and french doors lead to an outdoor patio and future pool. The rustic wood beams extend across the living and kitchen spaces.
The Kitchen features a large marble island with water fall edge. The marble is also used as a backdrop for the La Cornue range.
The simplicity of the exhaust range hood serves as a counterpoint to the more highly detailed range and cabinetry.
The metal trim detailing from the La Cornue range was mimicked within the cabinetry to unify the entire cabinet wall.
Light filled Pantry with double oven, sink and extensive storage.
The Foyer features a graceful and light filled stairway.
The Upper Hallway features the open stairway with window wall.
Exterior street side view of home. Here you can see our take on the gabled end walls typical of a Cape Dutch style home.
While not yet complete we can see this is going to be one awesome home. I'd like to make one big shout out to Robert and Angilea (our clients), Hage Homes (Builder - Kerry, Kate and John), Historic Studio (Interior Design - Sharon and Rob) and all the wonderful crafts-people involved. Their vision and expertise was essential to this incredibly successful project.
As a reminder the residence will be open for touring June 8-10, 15-17 and 22-24 (Fridays through Sundays). You can learn more about the tour and purchase tickets online at Artisan Home Tour. Here is the direct link to our design - Cape Dutch Residence by Ron Brenner Architects.
